Dr. Nikki Medina is from Colorado and earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in 2017. She joined a small animal corporate practice in Utah after receiving her degree and had the opportunity to come back home to Colorado in 2024. She has spent most of her career in leadership where she has been able to mentor and support other veterinarians in providing quality care. Dr. Medina has a passion for preventive medicine and loves surgery, dentistry, and being able to connect with clients.
Away from the clinic, Dr. Medina enjoys spending time with her two young children and husband. Their family also includes a 3-year-old Goldendoodle, Tater Tot, and approximately 14-year-old Heeler mix, Sammie. Their family can often times be found gardening, spending time in the mountains, and cooking.
Dr. Medina is excited to join the team at Dugan's and is committed to making every visit a positive experience for pets and their families.
Dr. Laura S. Jimenez is a 2021 graduate from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her clinical year at Oregon State University, and her bachelor's degree in Animal Science at Louisiana State University. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, she is an island girl at heart but has been warming up to winters in Colorado. Her love for animals was discovered early on through horseback riding and volunteering at the animal shelter and has only grown larger over the years. She has two rescue dogs, Lola and Chimichanga, which are her world. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors - whether that is snowboarding in the winter or hiking and camping in the summer. She is so excited to be part of the Dugan’s team and can’t wait to meet you and your pets!
